Stop and Breathe

For some time now I have played with the idea of starting a blog on which to share my scrapbooking.
I guess I hesitated for fear that I wouldn't find enough time to post updates (which no doubt will still happen) but inspired by online friends and their beautiful blogs and my computer savvy mum who loves to see what I have created, I have decided to take the plunge!

So here goes!

Scrapbooking is my time to Stop and Breathe amongst the crazy whirlwind that is my life and today after reading this post on another blog I decided that I had to make the effort!

Dear Incredible Girl,
When you've done all that you can do, & you still feel like you have so much further to go, when you feel like all you have to give still isn't nearly enough, when it seems that you will not be able to keep up everything that needs to be kept up for one minute longer -
stop & breathe.
Look. Really really look at what you are expecting of yourself.
You are an incredible girl. You are amazing & strong & brilliant. But friend, you are also a human being. You cannot do it all. You cannot always hold everything together perfectly, & you cannot be perfectly composed every single day. It's okay to have 'off' days. It's okay to feel weak & overwhelmed & have meltdowns once in awhile. It's okay. YOU are okay. Everything is going to be okay. It is.
Let youself have those days to be a perfectly imperfect human being. Let yourself feel what you need to feel & process your life the way you need to process it. Let yourself BE.
Bad days will pass, overwhelm will dissolve, & the sun will come up again tomorrow morning, just like it does every day. There will be a brand new sparkling day waiting for your tomorrow, waiting for you to hold hands with all of the joy that it is offering.
You are just right. You are doing great. You are fabulous!
And you are very very very loved.

So some recent layouts to share!

This one was made for a challenge at Scrapboutique - inspired by the colours of your favourite chocolate.

This one of Joe and Missy was for a challenge at Cocoa Daisy. The challenge was set by the wonderful Ronda using album covers to inspire the layouts. Very different for me but very happy with the way it turned out.

Have a wonderful Saturday!
